Robotics Deployment Technical Program Manager, Robotics Delivery & Packaging Innovation
Amazon – Experienced Technical Program Manager
In Amazon’s Robotics Delivery and Packaging Innovation International team, we seek an experienced Technical Program Manager to drive the strategy and delivery of complex, groundbreaking automation infrastructure deployments across our global fulfillment network. You’ll pioneer deployment strategies where none exist, lead cross-functional infrastructure builds from concept to steady-state handover, and create scalable mechanisms that empower teams to deploy—without intensive oversight.
This role spans multiple technologies and regions, offering impact through diverse regulatory environments and strong stakeholder relationships. Our culture fosters entrepreneurial ownership across fast-paced operations, typically based in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Munich, Barcelona, London, or Vercelli, with ~50% travel across Europe during peak deployment seasons and occasional global travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own end-to-end infrastructure deployment strategies for new automation technologies, where deployment plans are non-existent.
- Lead full lifecycle ownership of complex, cross-functional projects—unblocking teams, accelerating delivery, and negotiating resources across global teams.
- Align cross-functional stakeholders within a Vice President-led organisation, advising Senior Managers and Directors on technical trade-offs, deployment decisions, and build prioritisation.
- Identify infrastructure gaps arising from technical design issues and provide actionable feedback to engineering teams.
- Build scalable frameworks and tooling to transform first-time deployments into predictable, repeatable processes adopted across the organisation.
- Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term sustainability through data-driven metrics and analysis.
- Mentor junior engineers, assess Technical Program Manager promotions, and drive best practices within deployment teams.
- Evaluate and deploy large-scale automation technologies (e.g., conveyance, sortation, robotics) across multiple countries and building types.
- Continuously improve processes by eliminate inefficiencies, decoupling dependencies, and fostering innovation without bottlenecks.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
