Technical Program Manager – Robotics Delivery & Packaging Innovation (International)
Amazon is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to own the strategy and delivery of complex, first-time automation infrastructure deployments across our global fulfillment network within the Robotics Delivery and Packaging Innovation International team.
About the Role
In this position, you will transform complex automation technologies into efficiently deployable solutions at scale. Your responsibilities include:
- Defining deployment strategies and plans where none exist.
- Owning the full lifecycle of cross-functional infrastructure builds—from concept through go-live and steady-state handover.
- Building scalable mechanisms and predictable process paths to enable downstream teams to operate independently.
- Advising and influencing Senior Leaders (VPs and Directors) on strategy, trade-offs, and technical priorities.
- Mentoring junior engineers, driving engineering best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Working across multiple regions and technologies, tackling diverse regulatory and operational challenges in our fast-paced environment.
Amazon values an entrepreneurial mindset, expecting strong ownership in solving high-impact, complex problems. This role is ideal for those who thrive in a collaborative yet dynamic setting, with opportunities to accelerate career growth.
Potential Locations: Berlin, Düsseldorf, Munich, Barcelona, London, or Vercelli. ~50% travel across Europe during peak deployment seasons, with occasional international trips.
Key Responsibilities
-
Strategy & Planning
- Define and own the end-to-end infrastructure deployment strategy for complex, first-time automation technologies where no prior plans exist.
- Leverage data-driven decision-making to balance short-term delivery needs with long-term sustainability.
-
Program Lifecycle Ownership
- Manage full-cycle infrastructure builds, unblocking teams, optimizing delivery speed, and negotiating resources/priorities across functional areas.
- Lead cross-functional alignment within a VP-led organization by advising Senior Managers and Directors on technical trade-offs and deployment decisions.
-
Infrastructure & Technical Integrity
- Define build requirements and dependencies for new technical products, identifying technical flaws that impede deployments and providing actionable engineering feedback.
- Eliminate bottlenecks and streamline processes, reducing unnecessary dependencies that hinder innovation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
