Position: Roc Engineer

Reporting To: ROC Manager

Division: Remote Operations Center (ROC)

Position:

As a ROC Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering innovative remote services from our Remote Operations Centre (ROC). You will be responsible for monitoring Building Management Systems (BMS) and connected assets, identifying and resolving issues, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and helping to ensure the efficient operation of our clients' buildings.

Working closely with colleagues, clients, and supply chain partners, you will optimise building performance, improve energy efficiency, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Remotely manage and optimise HVAC assets through a range of Building Management System (BMS) platforms, including TREND, Siemens, Tridium, WEMS, and Schneider.
  • Monitor building performance and identify operational improvements to maximise efficiency and reliability.
  • Liaise with local branch engineers attending site to support remedial works identified by the ROC.
  • Collaborate with client operations teams to identify, coordinate, and resolve building-related issues.
  • Continuously optimise HVAC control strategies to improve system performance and energy efficiency.
  • Provide accurate and detailed technical diagnoses of faults across client estates, enabling remote resolution where possible and supporting first-time fixes on site.
  • Develop and implement software control strategies across client portfolios.
  • Investigate and diagnose causes of excessive energy consumption alarms identified through internal Energy Management Systems (EMS).
  • Proactively identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption and improve operational performance.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of activities, recommendations, and outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
