Role Description
The Roofer role at Speedy Roofing is a full-time, on-site position based in Glasgow. The roofer will install, repair, and maintain various types of roofs, including slating, tiling, and flat roofing systems, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.

Day-to-day tasks include:
- Assessing roof conditions
- Removing old materials
- Fitting new roofing and insulation
- Applying waterproofing solutions
- Carrying out minor carpentry work related to roof structures
The roofer will work at height using appropriate access equipment, follow health and safety procedures, and collaborate with team members to complete jobs on schedule. The role also involves maintaining a clean work area, communicating with supervisors about project progress, and helping deliver a professional service to customers.
Qualifications
- Practical roofing experience with different roof types, including Roofs and Waterproofing skills.
- Ability to perform structural and finishing work related to Carpentry.
- Knowledge of Insulation methods and materials for roofs and loft spaces.
- Competence in Working at Height, including safe use of ladders, scaffolding, and fall-protection equipment.
- Understanding of construction site health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to follow technical instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in varying weather conditions as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in roofing or construction.
- Valid UK driving licence and ability to travel to job sites across Glasgow and Central Scotland.
