Core Responsibilities
As a Qualified Roofer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Carrying out roofing repairs (including pitched and flat roofs)
- Performing tile repairs, mortar work, and general roof maintenance
- Working from drawn specifications, reports, and repair requirements
- Completing general building repairs linked to roofing work
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Collaborating with supervisors and teams to meet deadlines
- Recording work activity and completing required documentation
- Supporting apprentices and contributing to team performance and KPIs

A Typical Day
- A structured schedule covering repairs and maintenance
- Travel between jobs using your company van
- Independent or team-based work with tradespeople
- Direct engagement with customers in their homes
- Efficient completion of tasks while maintaining high-quality standards
Where You’ll Work
You’ll be operating in:
- Occupied homes
- Void properties
- Domestic homes across your local area
- Environments involving vulnerable customers
Essential Criteria (You must meet ALL of these to apply)
✔ NVQ Level 2 in Roofing or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds) ✔ Experience carrying out roofing repairs in domestic/social housing ✔ Ability to work to strict deadlines while maintaining quality ✔ Full UK driving licence ✔ **Based or willing to relocate to cover either the LS or BD postcode area
Nice to Have (Not Essential)
✅ Experience with general building repairs ✅ Background working across multiple trades
