Main Purpose Of Job
To carry out the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems to a high standard of quality and safety. The Roofer plays a key role in delivering projects efficiently, ensuring all roofing work meets company standards, client expectations, and health & safety requirements.

Key Accountabilities
- Install, repair, and maintain roofs using materials such as shingles, tiles, and metal
- Fabricate roofing components as required for specific projects
- Build and dismantle structures such as scaffolding to support roofing work
- Carry out welding and plumbing tasks where required
- Interpret schematics, drawings, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation
- Inspect roofs to identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions
- Perform manual handling duties, including heavy lifting and movement of materials
- Work collaboratively with other trades (e.g. carpenters and masons) to complete projects efficiently
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations at all times

Personal Specification
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Roofer or in a similar role
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques
- Good understanding of health & safety practices within construction
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
