Roofer
Experienced Roofers – Launceston (Permanent)
Location: Launceston Contract: Permanent – 40 hours per week Salary: Up to £16.50 per hour
Role Overview
Sphere Solutions are seeking experienced Roofers to join their clients’ repairs and maintenance team, specialising in roofing repairs and maintenance for social housing properties. Responsibilities include a mix of scheduled and urgent tasks while delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and replacements on:
- Pitched and flat roofs
- Tiles, slates, felt, leadwork, fascias, soffits, and guttering
- Diagnose roofing issues and execute high-quality repairs
- Work on both occupied and void properties, ensuring minimal disruption to tenants
- Strict adherence to health & safety procedures, including safe working at height
- Record completed work using a PDA or tablet

Requirements
- Proven experience in roofing (preferably within social housing or domestic maintenance)
- Strong knowledge of both pitched and flat roofing systems
- Deep understanding of health & safety, especially working at height
- Ability to work independently and solve technical problems effectively
- Full UK driving licence (with preference for those with clean records or 3 points max)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
