Qualified Roofer – Permanent Role

As a qualified Roofer in this permanent role, you’ll work locally to carry out essential repairs, ensuring safe, warm, and well-maintained domestic properties. What You'll Get

  • Company van and fuel card – Full use of a company vehicle for daily work

What You'll Be Doing

  • Performing roofing repairs across domestic properties, including:
    • Pitched and flat roofs
    • Tile repairs
    • Mortar work
    • General roof maintenance
  • Following specifications, reports, and repair plans to ensure quality work
  • Handling general building repairs linked to roofing work
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety standards
  • Collaborating with supervisors, schedulers, and colleagues to meet deadlines
  • Recording work and completing documentation
  • Supporting apprentices and driving team performance against KPIs

What Your Day Looks Like

  • Structured schedule – Following a schedule of repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Travel between jobs – Using your company van
  • Work environment – Typically independent or as part of a trades team
  • Customer interaction – Engaging directly with customers in their homes
  • Quality focus – Completing work efficiently while maintaining high standards

Where You’ll Work

You’ll operate across:

  • Occupied homes
  • Void (empty) properties
  • A range of domestic properties in your local area
  • Environments involving vulnerable customers

Essential Criteria (You Must Meet ALL of These to Progress)

✅ NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in Roofing (or equivalent experience) ✅ Proven experience in roofing repairs (domestic or social housing) ✅ Ability to work to strict deadlines while maintaining high standards ✅ Full UK driving licence (essential for the role) ✅ Based within the BS postcode area (due to geographic scope)


Nice to Have (Not Essential But Helpful)

✔ Experience with general building repairs ✔ Multi-trade knowledge (ability to handle broader maintenance tasks)
