Roofer/Grounds Engineer - Repairs Team at Bromford Flagship LiveWest (BFL)
Our Repairs Team is seeking a skilled and dedicated roofer/grounds engineer to bring pride and expertise to delivering outstanding service. In this varied role, you’ll repair, maintain, and renew roofs and guttering across our domestic properties while upholding high-quality standards and value for money.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing
- Safety First: Work safely at all times, complying with health & safety regulations, PPE, and safe systems of work.
- Customer-Centric Service: Deliver excellent repairs with clear communication and commitment to BFL’s values.
- Roofing Repairs & Maintenance:
- Repair and maintain felt, tiled, and slate roofs.
- Minor guttering, leadwork, and flashing work.
- Assist with minor joinery, brickwork, and repointing.
- Tool & Equipment Handling:
- Operate powder tools, plant, and access equipment safely.
- Ensure vehicles and equipment are well-maintained, reporting defects promptly.
- Efficiency & Planning:
- Interpret job requirements, measure accurately, and manage resources effectively.
- Proactively identify safeguarding risks and assist with customer relations.
- Adaptability: Handle a range of tasks independently with diligence and high standards.

🧩 What We’re Looking For
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong practical skills in roof covering, leadwork, and associated trades.
- Firsthand experience doing tiling, slating, and asphalt fitting.
- Problem-Solving:
- Ability to diagnose roofing issues efficiently and solve them quickly.
- Team & Customer Focus:
- Excellent customer service in a social housing environment.
- People-oriented and skilled at relationship-building.
- Self-Directed Work:
- High work ethic and ability to operate independently.
Other Requirements:
- Basic DBS check (processed by BFL)
- Full UK driving licence (required)
- Must show originals of any relevant qualifications
