Room Attendant - The Park Grand Kensington

Job Title: Housekeeping Associate Location: Across the UK, Netherlands & South Africa Employer: Omni Facilities Management Contract: Permanent Shift Pattern: Up to 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Sunday (24/7 operation)

The Role: Housekeeping Associate

Immediate Start: Available for roles following a successful interview ** ideal candidates are enthusiastic, self-motivated, and organised with previous housekeeping experience or cluster-to-clean phase work in the hospitality role

Core Responsibilities (Role may require additional tasks as assigned by management)

Principal Duties: Room Attendant

  • Follow cleanliness standards and meet deadlines to ensure (hotel bedrooms, bathrooms, & public areas) meet expectations
  • Carry out daily routines (e.g., room clearing, vacant rooms, turnovers)
  • Bed-making & linen changes, including towels, curtains, bath linens
  • High & low dusting; polishing furniture; cleansing mirrors, surfaces & upholstery
  • Thorough bathroom cleaning (soap dispensers, vanity surfaces, glass, tiles, floors)
  • Vacuuming, mopping, and general floor treatments (including carpets, hardwood)
  • Restocking guest supplies (soap, shampoo, sugarcane/tea, toiletries, brochures)
  • Changing & restocking minibar supplies (considering stock rotation)
  • General equipment maintenance (e.g., vacuums, steamers, cleaning carts)

Additional Duties as Needed

(Public Area Cleaner)

  • Cleaning designated hotel lobby areas, corridors, hallways, stairways, elevators, corridors, and reception desk areas
  • Ongoing vacuuming, mopping, surface polishing (tables/desks/chairs)
  • Windows and mirror cleaning and general deep cleaning as required
  • Stocking supplies (soap dispensers, tissues/toilet paper, waste bins, etc.)
  • Attending housekeeping meetings to share updates on tasks, report hazards, & receive special instructions

(Linen Porter — Logistical Role)

  • Deliver clean linen, towels & bedding to rooms by scheduled deadlines
  • Collect & transport soiled linen from floors and guest rooms by specified deadlines
  • Regular cupboard checks to ensure proper stock levels, organisation, and absence of stains/tears in towels/linen
  • Daily linen room duties:
    • Ensure linen carts are elevator/locked safely for transfers
    • Classify, count, and separate all soiled linen (sheets, pillows, duvet covers)
    • Handle damaged linen: marking labels, reporting damage, and following Omni’s damage accountability procedures

Desired Experience & Work Ethic

Ideal candidates should have: 🔹 Experience as a room attendant or housekeeper (stabbing inhouse cleaning stage preferred)= 🔹 Demonstrated fitness for physical workload due to multi-floor responsibilities 🔹 Clearly structured note-taking skills for shift-based operations 🔹 Professional relationship-building with speedy guests 🔹 Discretion & attention to detail for compliance with company standards 🔹 Commitment to quick response and follow instructions 🔹 Up-to-date knowledge of health & safety procedures in hospitality
