- Salary: £32,864 (starting) (dependent on qualification and experience)
- Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday)

Our Twickenham Meadway Day Nursery and Preschool is an 83-place nursery, Ofsted-rated ‘Good’, set within a spacious outdoor green area near Kneller Gardens and Crane Park. The property features a bespoke Adventure Garden with:
- A role-play cycle track
- Outdoor sand pit
- Shade sail
- Outdoor classroom
- Nature exploration zone
This setting creates the perfect environment for children to explore, learn and thrive.
The Role
As our Room Leader for the 2s Room, you will lead, mentor, and support a team to deliver exceptional care and early learning. Your responsibility will be to help every child meet their individual developmental milestones while ensuring the highest standards of welfare, health, safety, and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities
✔ Leading and inspiring a team to deliver outstanding care, learning, and development ✔ Promoting and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) ✔ Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, child protection, and legal requirements ✔ Building strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and external professionals ✔ Supporting individual child growth through tailored Learning Journeys ✔ Creating fun, inclusive, and stimulating learning environments ✔ Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and resources
What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements
🔹 Full and relevant Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification 🔹 Previous experience in an Early Years setting – ideally as a:
- Room Leader
- Nursery Nurse
- Nursery Practitioner
- Early Years Educator 🔹 Passion for early childhood education – especially crafting supportive, engaging environments 🔹 Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) 🔹 Excellent knowledge of Safeguarding, Child Protection and wider regulations 🔹 Ability to build trust and maintain clear communication with staff, parents, and children 🔹 Excellent organisational and teamwork skills
Nice To Have
🔸 Experience in leadership within the childcare sector 🔸 Training in special educational needs (SEN) 🔸 Experience with outdoor learning-based activities
