Room leader

Nursery Room Leader – Balham/Leatherhead/Weybridge/East Finchley

Salary & Contract

  • Salary: Up to £32,500 per year (depending on qualifications & experience)
  • Contract: Full-time, permanent

Location

Balham, London • East Finchley • Weybridge • Leatherhead

Eligibility

The successful candidate must have the legal right to work in the UK.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Room Leader to join our Balham Nursery. This is an opportunity to become part of a high-quality early years provider, honoured with a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating environment where children can flourish.

Your Responsibilities

As a Room Leader, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that meet children’s developmental needs
  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment in line with EYFS standards
  • Monitor, record, and celebrate children’s developmental milestones
  • Build strong parent communication to foster trusting relationships
  • Lead & support colleagues in maintaining high-quality care & learning
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies

About You

We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Have a valid Full & relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above) – essential
  • Demonstrate previous Early Years experience (ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, or Early Years Educator)
  • Show strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child protection
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills and a passion for early childhood education
  • Be dedicated to delivering the highest standards of care for children
