Bright Horizons Southborough Springfield Road Day Nursery – Room Leader Position


Role Title

Room Leader (Baby Room)


About the Role

Ensure the highest quality care and early education for children aged 3 months to 3 years at Brighton Horizons Southborough Springfield Road nursery, a small 40-place setting.

As a Bright Horizons team member, create meaningful interactions and foster each child’s development aligned with the Early Years Foundations Stage (EYFS).


Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: £30,804 – £36,587 per annum (depending on qualification/experience).
  • Flexible shift patterns, including:
    • 40 hours over 4 or 5 days
    • 24 hours over 3 days
    • 16 hours over 2 days
  • February 29th – August 31st

Responsibilities

Your primary focus: leading excellence in baby care through:

  • Mentoring & nurturing a team with passion for early education encompassing the EYFS framework.
  • Ensuring safe, inclusive environments that prioritise every child’s welfare and milestones.
  • Collaborating with staff, parents, and professionals to address all needs holistically.
  • Upholding legislative safeguarding requirements and awareness of child protections.

Requirements

Key Qualifications & Experience

  • A full/relevant Level 3+ Early Years qualification (e.g. lead practitioner).
  • Previous Early Years experience preferred—as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Practitioner, or Early Years Educator.
