Room Leader

Room Leader – Nursery (Bright Horizons Trafford)

Salary – £30,804.80 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Location – Trafford, Manchester

The Nursery at Bright Horizons Trafford is seeking a dedicated Room Leader to join a compassionate and forward-thinking team in a nursery rated "Outstanding" by Ofsted.

The Role: Room Leader (Key Responsibilities)

Duty will include, but not be limited to:

  • Leading, mentoring and inspiring a team to deliver exceptional care and early education
  • Ensuring inclusive growth, matching each child’s development to their individual milestones
  • Championing welfare, health, safety and safeguarding for children
  • Building and sustaining confident relationships with:
    • Team members
    • Parents/carers
    • All relevant stakeholders
  • Adaptive, child-focused, planning to meet every child’s needs

The Perfect Candidate: Requirements

  • Essential:
    • Full and relevant Level 3 (or higher qualification) in Early Years
    • Prior experience in Early Years settings, preferably:
      • In a Room Leader role
      • Or as a Nursery Nurse /Practitioner/Early Years Educator
    • Commitment to fostering inclusive, engaging learning environments
    • Deep knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
    • Strong grasp of safeguarding, child protection policies and legislative obligations related to working with under-fives
    • Exceptional inter-personal and communication skills working seamlessly with adult and child.
    • Ability to create trust and maintain strong partnerships with team and parental communities
