Nursery – Bright Horizons Whetstone Day Nursery and Preschool
Salary: Starting from £32,864 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience) Location: Whetstone, London (commutable via car or public transport; nearest station: Totteridge & Whetstone)

We’re looking for a Room Leader to inspire, mentor, and support our team at our Ofsted-rated “Good” nursery in North London.
Our 46-place nursery boasts a picturesque rooftop terrace for outdoor learning, alongside age-specific activities—including dynamic sand and water play areas—designed to spark curiosity for children of all ages.
The Role: Room Leader
You will:
- Lead, mentor, and support a team to deliver exceptional care and education.
- Foster a robust child welfare, health, and safety framework, with a focus on safeguarding.
- Build strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and external professionals tailored to each child’s individual needs.
- Inspire every child to reach their developmental milestones.

What We’re Looking For
To excel in this role, we require:
- A full and relevant Level 3 or higher Early Years qualification (e.g., Early Years Educator/certification).
- Prior experience in Early Years settings—ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Practitioner, or similar role.
- A passion for creating fun, inclusive, and engaging learning environments.
- A deep understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Expertise in safeguarding, child protection, and compliance with legal requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and collaborations with teams and parents.
- Communication skills adaptable for children and adults.
