Room Leader – Bright Horizons Crouch End Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary: £32,864 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience) Location: Crouch End, London (near Crouch Hill Overground Station and Victoria Line)

About the Role

Are you passionate about shaping the future of our youngest learners? At Bright Horizons, we’re seeking a Room Leader to join our thriving Crouch End Day Nursery and Preschool—a 79-place early years setting rated "Good" by Ofsted.

Our nursery delivers exceptional care and education with two distinctive, age-appropriate outdoor areas, including a designated beach, outdoor classroom, jungle walk, and look-out tower. We’re all about fostering growth with purpose and play!

Joining Bright Horizons means working in an organisation guided by our HEART principles—Honesty, Excellent, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork. You’ll feel valued, empowered, and inspired to make a meaningful difference to children’s early development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support staff in delivering high-quality care and education, ensuring every child’s milestones are achieved.
  • Foster inclusive, fun, and stimulating learning environments adapted to individual needs.
  • Maintain at all times rigorous safeguarding, health, and safety compliance, working closely with legislative requirements and partner organisations.
  • Build strong bonds with colleagues, families, and other professionals (e.g. health visitors) to create holistic support for children.
  • Oversee guidance, health, and behaviour policies, encouraging positive child and staff development.
  • Adapt practices to align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
