Company Description

At Dots & Tots Nurseries, we provide nurturing, high-quality early years education within our local communities, ensuring every child receives the best possible start in life. We create welcoming environments where children feel safe, valued, and motivated to explore, play, and learn. As a smaller nursery group, we focus on building genuine relationships with children and families and work closely with parents to support each child’s confidence, independence, and love of learning. Our team is committed to continual improvement, investing in staff development, learning environments, curriculum, nutrition, and safeguarding. Our vision is to help children thrive, support families, and offer a strong foundation for every child’s future.

Role Description

The Room Leader is a full-time, on-site role based at our Leicester nursery, responsible for the day-to-day leadership and organisation of a designated room. This includes planning, delivering, and evaluating age-appropriate learning experiences that follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and reflect each child’s individual needs and interests. The Room Leader will supervise and support practitioners, model high-quality interactions, and ensure consistent standards of care, safety, and safeguarding. Daily tasks include maintaining accurate observations and records, liaising with parents and carers, managing room routines, and contributing to a positive, inclusive environment. The role also involves collaborating with the wider nursery team on curriculum development, continuous improvement, and maintaining a well-resourced, engaging setting.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
