Rooms Operations Manager

We are looking for a dynamic Rooms Operations Manager to take the lead on Revenue, Reception, and Housekeeping operations. You will need strong revenue management skills, with a focused mindset to be able to support the HOD's in both Reception and Housekeeping on delivering exceptional guest service and standards. The role would suit someone who wants to have a varied role, focused on sales and revenue strategies, but maintaining an operational link providing guest-focused experiences with a unique personal feel, through the wider rooms team. A commercial mindset is needed so both priorities (revenue and service) can work in harmony without compromise. If you are sales and revenue-focused and enjoy delivering amazing hospitality, then this opportunity will deliver in bucketfuls.

This role is full-time and operates 5 out of 7 days. Some evenings and weekends are expected.

Priorities of the Role

This is a senior role within the hotel reporting directly to the General Manager. There are also close working relationships alongside the Commercial Director and Central Reservations team.

  • You will have full accountability for the Rooms departments (Revenue, Reception & Housekeeping) through your HODs and will need to balance the requirements for analytics, strategy, presence, and guest interactions.
  • A key focus is driving rate strategy, pricing, and packages to support building a reputation for high-quality experiences and the overall revenue goals across the hotel.
  • You will be seen as an ambassador for the business, something we want you to be proud of. You will need to be principle-led to support your Managers and encourage a team ethic that maximizes potential through genuine coaching, development, and training.
  • There is plenty of opportunity for creative flair and drive to give the current business a competitive edge. There is significant development underway, and this role plays a key role in fulfilling the transformation the hotel is going through.
  • This is a senior and demanding role, so you will need to be prepared to independently grow and embrace change to be able to support the exciting growth plans ahead.

Essential

Experience, Skills, Qualifications, and Behaviours

  • 2 years’ experience within Revenue Management or a similar role
  • Demonstrable Front of House success
  • Demonstrable experience of budget & KPI delivery
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proactive and innovative thinker
  • Fluent written and verbal English
  • Employer loyalty
  • PC literate

Desirable

  • 5 years’ experience across Front Office, Reservations, and Revenue
  • Experience of independent hotels
  • Experience of 4 & 5-star properties
  • Direct Housekeeping experience
  • Recognised industry qualifications
