At CareRight, we're passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care across Teignbridge, Ivybridge, Tavistock and Plymouth. As our services continue to grow, we're looking for an organised, proactive Rota Coordinator to manage the day-to-day rotas for our care teams in Plymouth, Tavistock, Ivybridge and surrounding areas.
This is a fast-paced, office-based role where you'll be responsible for ensuring every care visit is covered efficiently while responding to the ever-changing demands of domiciliary care. Please note: Rota management for our Teignbridge area is managed separately by another member of the team.
About The Role
As our Rota Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our operation, ensuring our care staff are allocated efficiently so that every client receives the support they need, when they need it.
No two days are the same. You'll need to think on your feet, respond quickly to unexpected changes and work closely with carers, clients and the wider office team to maintain an efficient, high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities
- Creating, managing and maintaining daily and weekly care rotas.
- Allocating care visits while considering staff availability, travel time, skills and continuity of care.
- Responding calmly and effectively to sickness, emergencies and last-minute schedule changes.
- Communicating with care staff and clients regarding rota updates and changes.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring scheduling systems remain up to date.
- Supporting the wider office team to ensure safe, effective and compliant care delivery.
- Occasionally supporting care delivery by attending care visits when required.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys planning, organising and problem-solving in a busy environment.
Ideally, You'll Have
- Previous experience managing rotas or scheduling staff, preferably within domiciliary or community care.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to make quick decisions and prioritise effectively under pressure.
- Strong communication skills with a professional and friendly approach.
- Confidence using scheduling software and Microsoft Office.
- A positive, flexible attitude and the ability to work as part of a supportive team.
- Experience within home care is highly desirable, but we'll also consider applicants from other fast-paced scheduling environments such as healthcare.
