Please note, this role is currently based at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital with occasional cross-site working expected at West Middlesex to support the service needs. Within Chelsea & Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, we have vacancies across both Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex Hospital. Depending on service needs, you may be offered a role at either site, with occasional cross-site working expected.

Roles at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital attract a 20% Inner London HCAS. Roles at West Middlesex Hospital attract a 15% Outer London HCAS.


Responsibilities

  • To work as an autonomous practitioner in providing occupational therapy assessment and treatment to own designated caseload of patients and to maintain up-to-date occupational therapy records.
  • To use evidence-based principles/current best practise to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
  • To gain experience through 6-month rotations in Medical Rehabilitation, Stroke/Neurology, Trauma and Orthopaedics, and Emergency Department/Acute Assessment Unit.
  • To consolidate and develop knowledge and skills through participation in CPD and in-service training.
  • To have opportunity to participate in a departmental research project.

We are currently working in seven day working patterns, which includes weekend working and some Bank Holiday cover.

Please note: This role may require working on either site as the service requires (Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, West Middlesex University Hospital).
