Job Opportunity: Physiotherapist
We are looking for a Physiotherapist with excellent communication skills to join the Physiotherapy team at Dartford & Gravesham NHS Trust. You will be based at Darent Valley Hospital. Rotations will include intensive care, stroke, acute medicine/respiratory and orthopaedics, MSK outpatients, 7 day working in an Integrated Discharge team and a rehabilitation role at an off-site unit.
A professional attitude is essential along with the skills to work in a busy acute setting. The post is for a qualified Physiotherapist.
Essential Experience Required
- BSc or equivalent in Physiotherapy
- HCPC registration or shortly pending for new graduates
- Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
- Evidence of clinical placements in core areas
Responsibilities
- Participate in the four-monthly rotation which involves working across the Trust in a range of ward and department settings.
- Provide a high standard of physiotherapy service in each speciality including services in orthopaedics, neurology, medicine, including care of the elderly, surgery and ITU, out-patients and hydrotherapy and respiratory care, integrated discharge team and Acute Frailty Unit.
- Take part in the teaching programme of each unit and the service to further own level of knowledge and clinical skills.
- Be an effective team member within each speciality and support the relevant senior/superintendent physiotherapist.
- Promote the role of physiotherapy within the inter-professional team, and ensure that good communication exists with the medical, nursing and other professional staff.
- When on rotation working with the admission services to work to provide care across a 7 day service delivering care 08:00 – 20:00.
