Role Description
We are seeking an experienced ROV Supervisor - Sub Engineer to strengthen GEOxyz’ offshore operations and lead our ROV teams during subsea inspection, survey and intervention projects.
In this role, you will take full operational responsibility for the ROV spread offshore, ensuring safe, efficient and technically sound execution of all subsea activities.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Operational leadership: Manage and coordinate the offshore ROV team during mobilisation, execution and demobilisation phases. Oversee all subsea operations in line with approved project procedures and client requirements.
- Supervision of ROV operations: Supervise piloting activities and complex subsea tasks, including the use of manipulators and specialised tooling. Provide technical guidance during inspection, survey and intervention activities.
- Maintenance and technical oversight: Oversee maintenance, fault-finding and repair activities on work-class and observation-class ROV systems, associated equipment and tooling. Ensure proper system readiness prior to deployment.
- Launch and recovery oversight: Take responsibility for the safe and efficient launch and recovery of the ROV system. Ensure compliance with vessel and project-specific operational procedures.
- Project coordination: Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Client Representatives and offshore departments to ensure subsea operations align with project scope, schedule and technical requirements. Contribute actively to Health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Promote a strong safety culture onboard: Ensure strict adherence to company, client and industry HSE standards. Complete and review all required safety documentation accurately and on time. Act decisively and effectively in emergency situations.
- Team development and skills: Lead, mentor and assess ROV Pilot Technicians. Ensure competency standards are maintained and that tasks are executed according to company procedures. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

- Proven experience as ROV Supervisor in offshore operations
- In-depth knowledge of mobilisation, operation and fault-finding of work-class and observation-class ROV systems
- Strong technical understanding of hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems
- Demonstrated leadership and team coordination skills in offshore environments
- Strong communication skills, particularly in high-pressure or emergency situations
- Proactive mindset with strong ownership of operational performance
