Roving Veterinary Nurse – Integrate, Innovate, Inspire
About the Role
At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we’re trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.
We’re seeking an experienced and dedicated Roving Veterinary Nurse to join our IVC team on a full-time fixed-term contract (12 months). Working flexibly across multiple primary care practices in and around West London and Surrey, this role ensures high-quality general nursing care—supporting teams during busy periods, staff absence, or clinical demand.
This logistically varied but rewarding role is an exciting opportunity for a confident, adaptable, and collaborative nurse who thrives in dynamic environments and loves integrating into diverse teams.
Reporting to the Area Director, you’ll cover a designated region including Ealing, Twickenham, Windsor, Ascot, Woking, Godalming, and New Malden. A monthly car allowance of £375 is provided to support regional travel, with some flexibility in locations based on operational needs.
Why You’ll Make a Difference
As a Roving Veterinary Nurse, you’ll:
- Deliver exellent nursing care across general practice, from admissions/discharges to post-operative recovery.
- Contribute to high-quality client experiences, supporting preventative care clinics and consistent patient management.
- Work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons, practice teams, and student nurses, enhancing clinical standards and patient care.
- Maintain accurate records, dispense prescriptions, and support front-desk duties as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, health & safety regulations, and infection control protocols.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
