🚣 Interim Head of Junior Rowing - CLOSING TUESDAY 🚣

Are you a sports leader passionate about developing young talent and making rowing open to all?

Lea Rowing Club—one of the UK’s largest rowing clubs and former British Rowing Club of the Year—is transitioning its highly successful junior programme to a professionally-led model. We are looking for an Interim Head of Junior Rowing to lead us through the 2026/27 season.

Our junior squad has an incredible track record, with over 10 national titles, world champions, and GB representatives in recent years. This role is a unique opportunity to shape the future of a programme that changes lives across Hackney, Waltham Forest, and Haringey.

📊 The Role:

This is primarily a leadership, organizational, and administrative role rather than a coaching position. You will manage the junior budget (~£150k), lead a team of 17 professional and session coaches, and oversee safeguarding, logistics, and strategy.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
