Royalties Manager

Royalties Manager | Music Practice | £55-65K

This hybrid role supports senior stakeholders by managing day-to-day royalty operations within a dynamic music practice.

About the Role

A newly created position for a Royalties Manager, reporting directly to senior management. This role blends administrative oversight with strategic analysis, balancing operational tasks with system-driven improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Office/Support Leadership:
    • Managing the junior Royalties team
  • System Implementation & Data Accuracy:
    • Overseeing the deployment of a new royalties system
    • Ensuring all royalty contracts are properly configured
  • Statement Review & Reporting:
    • Reviewing and validating incoming and outgoing royalties statements
    • Leading financial/operational reporting to stakeholders
  • Month-End Processes:
    • Completing month-end reconciliations
    • Identifying and rectifying discrepancies/adjustments
  • Auditing & Analysis:
    • Conducting further royalty analysis and audits as requested by management

Requirements

  • Strong background in royalty management, specifically within the music industry
  • Proven track record of managing a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in system administration is highly advantageous
    • Proficiency with music industry management platforms (e.g., imsLU, UMG Accelerator, CBOL)
    • Knowledge of royalty calculations/contracts
