Royalty Accountant | Music Specialist Practice | Hybrid (London)
I'm working with a fast-growing music specialist practice who are looking for a Royalty Accountant to join their Third-Party Royalty Accounting team. This is a genuine opportunity to help shape and grow a highly specialised, market-leading practice, working across Publishing and Recorded clients on Monthly, Quarterly and Semi-Annual royalty statements.
You'll work closely with senior leadership, with your input directly shaping the team's strategy and commercial growth.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out royalty statement analysis and accounting for artist profit-share arrangements and management commission agreements, manually and via the Curve royalty system
- Collating, editing, reconciling and loading sales data into Curve for third-party accounting
- Liaising with internal accountants, rights management, the data team and clients to gather and share information for day-to-day tasks, including income and statement tracking
- Maintaining project management (Monday.com) and information systems (Confluence)
- Providing budgets and quotes for new clients, and managing billing for existing clients
- Supporting client onboarding and contract set-up
- Taking on ad hoc duties as directed by the Royalties Manager and Head of Royalties

About You
- Working knowledge of recording and publishing companies and collection societies
- The ability to interpret royalty and licensing agreements
- 3+ years' experience at a music-industry accounting firm or similar
- General knowledge of the Curve royalty system is an advantage
- Experience with project management systems (e.g. Monday.com or Jira) is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of music royalties, publishing and recording
- Highly organised with strong time management
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload to deadlines
- Effective communicator across different levels, internally and externally
