A bank worker contract allows you to undertake shifts across NHS Grampian on an as and when required basis. Locations include acute hospitals, community hospitals and community settings within Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray.

The nurse bank centrally co-ordinates bank shifts for all nursing and midwifery services across NHS Grampian through an electronic booking system allowing bank workers to view and book their shifts through a computer or mobile device. Bank workers must deliver a high standard of patient-centred care; be kind, caring, professional, flexible and reliable. If this is you, then you may be a suitable candidate for the Nurse Bank.

Please note that in order to apply for the post of Bank Staff Nurse, you must be a Registered Nurse with the NMC. If you already hold a post as a Staff Nurse or Midwife within NHS Grampian, please do not apply to this advert, as you can join the bank directly through the nurse bank office.

Please contact the NHSG Nurse Bank on (01224 553344) if you wish further information.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
