Speech and Language Therapist – Band 5 (36h, Full-time)

About the Role
We are proud to offer an exciting opportunity for an innovative and motivated Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join our friendly Children’s Service in Aberdeen. This community-based role involves delivering universal, targeted, and specialist interventions for children with a wide variety of speech, language, and communication needs, including those with additional support needs.
As an SLT in this team, you will:
- Work independently and collaboratively across diverse settings
- Support and manage a dedicated caseload of children and young people with communication difficulties
- Receive guidance and supervision from experienced colleagues
The team provides excellent administrative and assistant support whilst fostering strong collaborative relationships with schools, local authorities, and a supportive focus on Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Effectively communicate with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions for speech, language, and communication needs.
- Carry a caseload while operating under the oversight of senior colleagues.
- Contribute to service enhancement and quality improvement initiatives.
- Attend team meetings and collaborate with education and social care partners.

- Passionate about working with children and young people.
- Considerate and patient when engaging with clients.
- Able to balance independent working with team contributions.
