RS Local Branch Assistant
Branch Assistant
Location: Watford
If you thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to grow within a supportive team, this role at RS Local Watford Branch offers an exceptional opportunity.
Working alongside our outstanding branch team, you’ll split your time between delivering excellent customer service—helping trade customers find precisely what they need—and efficiently managing stock and inventory. Full training will be provided, but we’re looking for someone with a proven can-do attitude ready to succeed.
About the Role
As our Branch Assistant, you’ll report directly to the Branch Manager.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Providing world-class customer service:
- Assessing and addressing the needs and requirements of our trade customers.
- Building strong, lasting relationships.
- Resolving both general and technical queries with empathy and accuracy.
- Advising customers on delivery options and dispatch services.

Managing warehouse and stock operations, including:
- Picking and packing orders efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with product inquiries and help them find tailored solutions.
- Collaborate to resolve customer issues, ensuring satisfaction throughout the purchase journey.
- Work effectively in a high-paced environment, balancing customer-facing tasks with stock management.
- Maintain inventory levels, ensuring availability of products for immediate dispatch.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Some experience in a Customer Service or Retail environment.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal.
- The ability to multi-task and navigate varying priorities seamlessly throughout the day.
- Proficiency with standard computer applications.
- A friendly, approachable demeanour paired with a proactive mindset.
