RS Local – Branch Manager
Location: Nuneaton
An exciting opportunity to support in leading, shaping, and delivering a RS Local Branch (face-to-face, telephony, email, web, social) customer contact channels and provide a seamless service for commercial activities, driving customer experience, growth, and margin. To drive a profitable branch that is efficient and effective.
The Branch Supervisor is a key operational leadership role within RS Local. The position exists to ensure that the Nuneaton branch continues to operate effectively whilst the Branch Manager manages multisite operation.
The Branch Supervisor is responsible for supporting the effective day-to-day running of a RS Local Branch, ensuring operational performance, team coordination, customer service standards, and resource planning are delivered consistently.
The Branch Supervisor will support by acting as the operational lead and first point of escalation for colleagues and customers when the Branch Manager is not on site.
What you will be doing:
- Manage daily branch routines, standards, and operational processes
- Ensure orders, collections, deliveries, stock movements, and customer requirements are handled accurately and on time
- Monitor branch workload and ensure tasks are prioritized effectively
- Support stock accuracy, availability, replenishment, and housekeeping standards
- Ensure compliance with RS processes, health and safety requirements, and local operating procedures within the OPEX
- Identify operational issues and escalate risks or barriers to the Branch Manager
- Support continuous improvement activity within the branch

- Coordinate daily team activity and ensure colleagues understand priorities.
- Act as the first point of support for branch colleagues.
- Support colleague performance through regular feedback, coaching, and guidance.
- Help to build a positive, professional, and customer-focused team environment.
- Support onboarding and training for new colleagues.
- Identify development needs and share feedback with the Branch Manager.
- Manage day-to-day conduct, attendance, and performance concerns in line with company policy, escalating where required.
What do I need to be successful?
If you have the following skills and experience, we want to hear from you:
- Experience in a branch, operational, service, or customer-facing environment.
- Solid commercial acumen to support the growth targets of the branch and BM.
- Strong day-to-day people management capability.
- Good planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence in handling customer and colleague escalations.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Understanding of stock, service, logistics, or branch operations.
- Ability to work independently when the Branch Manager is not on site.
- A practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and customer service.
