About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join Reed's innovative tech team. This is a fully remote position based in the UK, offering flexible working hours to support work-life balance. As a key member of our development team, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications that meet the evolving needs of our clients and internal stakeholders. Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role, with a strong background in Ruby on Rails and TypeScript.
- Proficiency in working with Ubuntu operating systems.
- Experience in managing MySQL databases.
- Experience deploying applications on AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Keen eye for detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a remote work setting.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications using Ruby on Rails and TypeScript.
- Architect scalable, secure, and efficient backend systems to support business growth.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver innovative features and enhancements.
- Optimize application performance, ensuring fast load times and smooth user experiences.
- Debug and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and improve system stability.
- Manage and maintain MySQL databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Implement deployment strategies and scale applications effectively on AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve development practices.
