About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join Reed's innovative remote team based in the UK. This full-time role offers flexible working hours, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively. As a key contributor, you will develop and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications using Ruby and TypeScript. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design new features, optimize system performance, and ensure seamless deployment on cloud infrastructure. Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or in a similar role, demonstrating proficiency in Ruby and TypeScript.
  • Solid knowledge of Ubuntu, MySQL, and AWS cloud services.
  • Good understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in agile methodologies and familiarity with modern development tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust web applications using Ruby on Rails and TypeScript.
  • Architect scalable and secure backend systems to support business growth.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver innovative features.
  • Optimize application performance for speed, scalability, and reliability.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues efficiently to ensure smooth operation.
  • Manage and maintain MySQL databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Deploy applications on AWS cloud infrastructure and manage scaling strategies.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve development processes.
