About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Ruby Developer to join our dynamic team on a remote basis. This contract role is initially set for four months, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements and performance. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level web applications using Ruby on Rails. You will be involved in building new features, enhancing existing systems, and integrating AI-powered functionalities such as large language models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and document processing workflows. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative solutions that leverage AI and machine learning technologies, contributing to the development of next-generation enterprise applications.

Qualifications
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in enterprise software development, specifically with Ruby on Rails.
- Strong API development skills, including designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Git, and UNIX/Linux environments.
- Experience with AI-enabled software development or LLM integration is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise Ruby on Rails applications, ensuring high performance and security standards.
- Build new features and enhance existing production systems to meet evolving business requirements.
- Develop and deploy robust APIs to facilitate seamless integration with other systems and services.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs or issues promptly to ensure system stability and reliability.
- Contribute to the development of AI-powered functionalities, including integrating large language models and RAG workflows.
- Participate actively in the full software development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to deployment and ongoing support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and DevOps engineers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Maintain code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and adherence to best practices.
