Runner - Kitchen Server
Hospitality is at the core of what we do and who we are. It’s more than just a job; it’s a path to a career in our industry. Many of us at NoMad have grown from within these walls and we pride ourselves on providing these opportunities. We thrive to achieve our vision to be a thriving hotel combining the best of New York hospitality with London charm. Our values connect us; our behaviours guide us; and our non-negotiables drive us.
Welcome to NoMad London
Kitchen Servers have a comprehensive understanding of the technical relationship between kitchen and dining room, food delivery etiquette and dining room traffic patterns. Kitchen Servers (KS) are the eyes and ears of the kitchen and can relay information from the dining room to the kitchen efficiently and clearly. They are eager to learn more about the philosophy of The NoMad menu and cuisine in general, seasonality and the origins of techniques and ingredients.
Kitchen Servers are responsible for maintaining the same level of food knowledge amongst themselves throughout all the outlets, knowing all ingredients, preparations, allergens and possible modifications for all dishes produced in the kitchen.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
