Position Summary

The Runner is an essential member of the front-of-house team at Ronnie’s Café (Regent Street), supporting both servers and kitchen staff to deliver seamless, efficient dining experiences. This part-time role involves delivering food and beverages, resetting tables, maintaining cleanliness, and working collaboratively to elevate service and ensure guest satisfaction.


Status & Compensation

  • Location: Ronnie’s Café, London (Regent Street)
  • Position: Part-time
  • Hourly Rate: £12.81/hr

Primary Responsibilities

The Runner will:

  • Deliver food and beverage orders from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately.
  • Support servers by resetting tables, refilling water, and anticipating guest needs.
  • Clear tables efficiently to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Partner with kitchen staff to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across the dining area.
  • Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing supplies as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
  • Assist with private events or special functions when required.

Requirements

Availability

  • Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events (open and flexible).

Licenses & Certificates

  • Valid Food Handler’s Certificate (preferred).

Experience

  • 1+ years in a restaurant, café, or hospitality environment (preferred).
  • Familiarity with high-volume settings is advantageous.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work quickly under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • Capacity to lift/carry up to 13.6 kg and stand/walk for extended periods.
