Soho House Runners: Dining Service Assistant
About the Role
At Soho House, a Runner plays a vital role in connecting the kitchen and front-of-house teams, ensuring exceptional dining experiences. You’ll act as a seamless bridge, delivering food and beverages with speed and precision while maintaining order and cleanliness across service areas—engaging directly with members to elevate their experience by assisting waiting staff.
Your responsibilities include: -Rapidly transporting orders from the kitchen or drinks from the bar to members’ tables. -Acting as the point of communication between back-of-house and front-of-house staff. -Ensuring members receive a flawless, tailored service.
Key Duties
- Deliver food and drinks promptly between kitchen/bar and guests.
- Maintain an immaculate, organized environment in high-service areas.
- Handle assigned table sections while providing attentive member service.
- Build rapport with guests through personalized attention.
- Polish and prepare cutlery, tables, and prep items ahead.
- Perform opening/closing tasks (setup, breakdown of stations, equipment care).
- Collaborate with teams during regular briefings on menu updates, tastings, and specials.

Requirements
- 2–3 years’ experience in a high-end hospitality or dining setting.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine.
- Exceptional communication, teamwork, and organisation skills.
- Polished appearance, confidence, and professionalism valued.
- Familiarity with POS/reservation systems.
