Full Time – Cirencester / Lechlade, Gloucestershire
About Us
Moore Allen and Innocent owes its origins to the cattle markets in Cirencester and Lechlade with deep roots, dating back to 1845 when Mr. C.F. Moore conducted his first property auction at the Bathurst Arms, North Cerney.
After 150 years, the livestock market in Cirencester was closed in 1996. Since then, the business has expanded in other directions to form today’s modern, independent and multi-disciplined firm of Chartered Surveyors. We now provide the most comprehensive range of agricultural and rural services for farmers and landowners in the area, alongside a busy residential department, active in both sales and lettings; as well as our own saleroom / auction house specialising in all things, art, furniture and household goods.
The Role
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and driven qualified Rural Surveyor, to join our expanding rural team. Preferably RICS/CAAV qualified (or training towards), the successful candidate will have experience in a wide range of rural consultancy matters such as estate management, rural business advice, landlord and tenant matters, valuation, planning and utilities, and other diverse areas of work. Opportunity will also be available to get involved in our machinery auctions and marketing events. As well as working on existing instructions you will have an opportunity to get involved in identifying, securing and delivering new business opportunities and developing new work streams in key growth areas as part of a supportive team network. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of, and contribute to, the ongoing success of a thriving independent and multi-disciplined firm and will particularly suit someone ambitious who is looking to take the next step in their career.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
