Our Cambridge Rural team is looking to recruit a Qualified Surveyor to support a growing portfolio of private clients and rural estates across East Anglia.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a market-leading team, providing strategic estate management and professional consultancy services that help clients maximise income, enhance capital value and achieve their long-term objectives. Working across a diverse range of rural assets, you will advise on estate strategy, diversification, development opportunities and emerging areas such as renewable energy, natural capital and environmental markets.

The role offers significant scope for professional development, with the opportunity to work alongside specialists across the business and develop expertise in areas such as energy, rural planning, estate diversification and sustainable land use. You will play an important role in maintaining exceptional client relationships, delivering high-quality advice and supporting the continued growth of the Rural division.

Main Tasks Manage a portfolio of rural estates and private client landholdings, primarily across East Anglia, providing strategic estate management advice and maintaining strong client relationships. Develop and implement estate strategies that enhance income generation, improve operational performance and maximise long-term capital value. Identify, evaluate and deliver diversification opportunities, including renewable energy schemes, environmental and natural capital projects, leisure, tourism and other rural enterprise initiatives. Provide high-level management advice, coordinating with estate management surveyors, consultants, agents and other professional advisers to deliver effective outcomes for clients. Lead and support rural planning and development projects from initial concept through to consent, implementation and ongoing management. Work closely with Partners and colleagues across the Rural division to support business development activity and secure new instructions. Collaborate with colleagues across Planning & Development, Energy, Infrastructure and Residential teams to identify and deliver opportunities that maximise value for clients. Contribute to the development of specialist expertise within the team and support knowledge sharing across the wider business. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of agricultural, environmental, planning and property legislation, ensuring clients receive informed and commercially focused advice.

What will it take to be successful? You will be MRICS qualified, with experience in rural estate management and professional consultancy.

Commercially aware and client-focused, you'll have the ability to identify opportunities that enhance estate performance and long-term value, alongside experience of diversification, development, renewable energy or environmental projects.

Strong communication, relationship management and project delivery skills are essential, as is a collaborative approach and a genuine interest in helping clients navigate the evolving rural sector.
