THE ROLE

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, global team at Satalia, where you will play a pivotal role in solving complex problems using AI-enhanced data sets. We are seeking a high-performing Rust Engineer to help lead our exciting Rust project. If you have a passion for Rust's speed and safety and enjoy the challenge of refactoring and building high-performance solutions, this role will allow you to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will be instrumental in shipping working Rust software regularly and shaping the future of our AI-centric products.

Your Responsibilities

  • Working on a new project focused on leveraging Rust for high-performance distributed data processing.
  • Creating new features and improving the robustness, performance and resilience of the existing Rust codebase
  • Solving complex business problems by designing and implementing robust code and cutting edge optimisation algorithms.
  • Collaborating with our internal project owners and our customers to design and develop services that meet their needs.
  • Building and managing scalable cloud software solutions with full IaC in a GCP container environment
  • Working with cutting-edge technologies in the machine learning, optimisation and AI spaces.

Skills Needed

  • Experienced Software Developer
  • Proven commercial experience developing with Rust.
  • Strong proficiency in low latency data handling and data transformation.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, scaling and resilience
  • Experience building and managing containerised solutions on one of the major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • A self-starter mentality with exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as TDD, BDD, Microservices, Distributed Systems, Event driven systems, Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform.
