Senior Rust Engineer – Storage Platform

Location: London (4 days onsite per week) Contract Length: 12 Months (Initial Contract) Engagement: Inside IR35 Rate: £700 - £1000 per day

Overview We're partnering with a leading quantitative technology organisation to hire an experienced Senior Rust Engineer to join a high-impact Storage Engineering team. This is an opportunity to contribute to a strategically important, multi-year platform initiative focused on building a next-generation storage solution from the ground up. The team is developing a new distributed storage platform designed to provide greater scalability, performance, and operational control, reducing reliance on third-party storage technologies. An MVP has already been delivered, and the programme is now entering an exciting growth phase, with plans to expand the engineering team significantly over the coming months. Working closely with quant researchers, platform engineers, and infrastructure teams, you'll play a key role in shaping the architecture and engineering direction of a business-critical platform that sits at the heart of a highly data-intensive environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
