The Role
As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential customers. This role is ideal for someone looking to launch a career in Tech sales and progress toward an Account Executive position and beyond.
In addition to prospecting responsibilities, you will also support Account Executives with key administrative, documentation, and handoff activities, and you may close smaller or fast-cycle deals over the phone when appropriate.
What do we want to achieve together?
- Prospect and generate leads: Hunt down and research potential customers within target markets using tools like LinkedIn, CRM databases, and other resources β you're relentless about finding the right people to talk to.
- Drive outbound outreach: Get on the phone and in the inbox with real energy β cold calling, emailing, and social media engagement to spark conversations with potential clients.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads: Assess prospect needs, pain points, and interest in our SaaS solution, separating real opportunities from the noise.
- Set appointments and demos: Work closely with Account Executives to schedule meetings with qualified leads, seamlessly handing them into the sales funnel for further engagement.
- Own your CRM: Keep sharp, accurate CRM records β every call, conversation, and outcome tracked and ready to act on.
- Know your stuff: Stay on top of product knowledge and industry trends so you can articulate our value proposition with real confidence.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Team up with Marketing and Sales, feeding back on lead quality, messaging effectiveness, and campaign performance.
- Show up and contribute: Bring your insights to regular team meetings and help sharpen our prospecting and sales strategies.

Iβm in my final year doing Economics and I donβt know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer β it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donβt need a masters. Letβs look at the ones youβd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
