Role Overview
The people we support are among the most vulnerable in our communities. They have often survived things that most of us will never face, and they deserve an organisation that takes their safety seriously, every single day. The Safeguarding Lead is one of the most important roles in IMPAKT, and we are looking for someone who understands the weight of that responsibility.
Safeguarding is not a compliance exercise at IMPAKT; it is a fundamental part of who we are and how we work. The people we house and support are often at significant risk, and getting safeguarding right is one of the most important things we do. This role exists to make sure we do it well, consistently, and across every part of the organisation.
Role Purpose
As Safeguarding Lead, you will be the named lead for safeguarding across IMPAKT, holding responsibility for the frameworks, policies, practice standards, and culture that keep our residents, staff, and volunteers safe. This is an organisation-wide role; you will work across housing, domestic abuse services, and our developing partnership provision, providing expert advice, oversight, and challenge at every level.

You will not be a bystander. This role requires someone confident in managing complex, high-risk cases; who can provide clear, authoritative guidance to frontline staff and senior managers alike; and who is willing to hold the organisation to account when safeguarding standards are not being met. You will report to the Director of Operations and will have a direct line of escalation to the CEO and Board where required.
