About The Role
Are you passionate about creating safe, inclusive, and innovative learning environments? Luminate Education Group is looking for a dedicated Safeguarding Learning and Development Coordinator to inspire and drive a culture of continuous improvement in safeguarding practice across our organisation.
In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with the Head of Safeguarding and the Safeguarding Learning and Development Officer to lead the design, coordination, and delivery of engaging, evidence-informed safeguarding training for staff. You will use data, evaluation, and feedback to shape targeted interventions, ensuring our staff and students are equipped to respond effectively to emerging risks.
What You Will Do
- Program Leadership: Lead the development, coordination, and continuous improvement of the organisation's safeguarding learning and development programme, encompassing face-to-face, digital, and blended learning.
- People Management: Provide direct line management, coaching, and professional development support to the Safeguarding Learning and Development Officer.
- Collaborative Co-Production: Partner with students, staff, and specialist external agencies to co-produce accessible training, digital learning resources, and safeguarding guidance.
- Data & Insight: Analyse quality assurance data and safeguarding trends to identify knowledge gaps, shaping targeted responses particularly for marginalised and underrepresented groups.
- Cross-Organisational Partnership: Collaborate with the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities team, Apprenticeships teams, and preventative education leaders to strengthen safeguarding frameworks and resource delivery.
- Income & Networking: Help develop, promote, and deliver an external safeguarding training and consultancy offer to generate income and build strong professional networks.
- Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and present quarterly reports to leadership and governors, using data to show training impact and recommend evidence-based improvements.

- You bring significant experience in designing, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating learning and development programmes across face-to-face, digital, and blended formats, with clear evidence of measuring training impact and driving continuous improvement.
- Safeguarding Expert: You have extensive knowledge and understanding of current safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance within education, including a strong awareness of emerging risks affecting children, young people, and adults.
- An Organised Project Manager: You possess excellent organisational and project management skills, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate multiple workstreams, and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes to agreed deadlines.
- An Effective Influencer: You are skilled at influencing, engaging, and supporting colleagues at all levels to successfully implement change and improve outcomes for vulnerable groups.
- A Collaborative Partner: You have experience building strong partnerships and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to co-produce resources, drive service improvement, and achieve shared objectives.
