Role Overview
This role supports the College Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Crockers DSL in the effective delivery and administration of safeguarding services across the College. The post holder will be responsible for managing all safeguarding referrals, including triaging concerns, coordinating appropriate responses, and ensuring timely escalation to the DSL where required. They will oversee the reporting, monitoring, and maintenance of accurate and confidential safeguarding records in line with College Group policy and statutory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with other Safeguarding Team Leaders across the Group to ensure a consistent and coordinated approach to safeguarding practice across all College sites.
- Collaborate closely with the Student Experience Department, including the Residential Team, and other relevant staff to ensure safeguarding processes and interventions are delivered effectively and in accordance with established procedures.
- Act as the Designated Teacher for their College, liaising closely with the Virtual School to support the educational progress and wellbeing of children in care and care-experienced learners.
