Safer Gambling Advisor
Remote (North East Based) 📍
We are hiring for the following roles:
- Part-time (20 hours per week) – permanent and fixed-term
- Full-time (40 hours per week) – permanent and fixed-term
Working Hours ⏰
Flexible hours, including:
- Days
- Evenings
- Nights

What You’ll Be Doing Day-to-Day 🧐
As a Safeplay Advisor, you’ll be the friendly, supportive voice for players, helping them: 🔹 Understand play behaviour and usage 🔹 Use safer gambling tools effectively 🔹 Stay safe and enjoy tombola’s games
Key Responsibilities:
- Review player accounts to identify patterns suggestive of potential harm
- Conduct open, empathetic conversations with players to guide and support them
- Provide affordability checks and help with safer gambling tools
- Handle escalations from Customer Support with quick, balanced decisions
- Maintain accurate notes for records
- Stay up-to-date with safer gambling best practices and share knowledge with the team
What We’re Looking for in You 🧐
No gambling industry experience required. Full training will be provided for the right person.
We’re seeking someone with: 🔸 Strong customer service experience (ideally in a call centre or vulnerable customer-focused role) 🔸 Experience handling sensitive discussions with empathy and confidentiality 🔸 Confidence in assessing risk and making judgement-based decisions 🔸 High attention to detail—identifying trends, supporting fair decisions, and maintaining clear records 🔸 Ability to multitask while remaining calm under pressure 🔸 A genuine passion for supporting people and doing what’s right
