Location: North Lincolnshire
Salary: £55,000-£60,000

About the Role
As Safety & Compliance Manager, you'll provide visible leadership across a complex operational environment, working closely with senior leaders to embed high standards, improve governance and drive continuous improvement. This role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact by shaping safety culture, ensuring compliance and supporting operational excellence.
The Opportunity
As a Safety & Compliance Manager you'll play a key role in:
- Leading, developing and supporting a team of Health & Safety Facilitators to deliver effective compliance and assurance activities.
- Setting clear safety standards and ensuring they are consistently understood and applied across all operational areas.
- Providing visible leadership that promotes accountability, ownership and a positive safety culture.
- Managing audits, inspections and assurance programmes to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance with legal and internal standards.
- Using performance data and insights to identify trends, prioritise risk-based improvements and strengthen the management of critical risks.

About You
We're looking for someone who can bring:
- Significant Health, Safety and Environmental management experience, ideally gained within heavy industry or another high-risk operational environment whether it be Quarrying, Aggregates, Power, Cement, Chemical, Waste, Refineries, Steel, Recycling, Ports, Fertiliser, Foundries etc.
- NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum qualification.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent professional qualification is desirable.
- Experience leading audits and applying compliance frameworks with confidence.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and drive meaningful improvements.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at every level.
- Proven leadership and coaching capability, enabling others to perform at their best.
- A pragmatic, resilient approach with the confidence to challenge appropriately while building positive working relationships.
- Good IT skills and the ability to work confidently with business systems and reporting tools.
