Safety and Compliance Engineer – Engineering Quality

Location: United Kingdom

🌍 About the Role

As the nation’s flag carrier, British Airways takes pride in connecting Britain to the world—and the world to Britain. Since launching the world’s first international scheduled air service in 1919, we’ve pioneered innovation and excellent service.

This philosophy drives us today: whether you’re a navigator on the phone, a greeter at the door, a technician keeping engines running, or a pilot landing us safely across the globe, a job at British Airways has room for your ambition.

At British Airways, we believe great things happen when passion meets ingenuity—because the sky isn’t the limit here.

Join Our Engineering Quality Team

You’ll collaborate with the industry’s best minds to ensure safety, quality, and compliance across one of the largest and most prestigious airline fleets in the world. Your responsibilities extend beyond BA—ensuring maintenance operations for multiple aviation partners adheres to the highest standards.

As part of Safety & Compliance Engineering, you’ll:

  • Shape regulatory and safety policies through proactive engagement.
  • Monitor health, safety, airworthiness, and airmanship standards.
  • Conduct internal and external audits, report findings, and close non-conformities efficiently.
  • Investigate incidents or accidents, identify failures at their core, and implement improvements within deadlines.
  • Align BA’s growing fleet with safety standards and actively influence culture shifts for positive change.

An inspiring, leadership-driven role for professionals with expertise in aviation compliance, logistics, safety audits, and aircraft maintenance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
