The Role Outline: Your Shift at a Glance
As our Safety Development Officer, you are the national champion for our teams and guests, ensuring our hotels operate flawlessly and safely. You will spend your time out in the field, not just auditing, but actively coaching our hotel teams all around the UK, turning compliance from a tick box exercise into a supportive, deeply ingrained culture.

Your Shift: What You’ll Actually Be Doing
As our Safety Development Officer, you are the engine of the shift. We trust you to handle:
- The Support System: Travelling nationally to conduct regular compliance inspections, offering proactive advice, training, and coaching to our Heads of Department so they feel supported rather than scrutinized.
- The Problem Solving: Stepping into challenged operations to investigate incidents and monitor non-compliance, using quantifiable application velocity metrics and solid data to guide your action plans.
- The Culture Shift: Softening the intimidating nature of safety legislation by translating it into practical, easy-to-understand guidance. You will build a positive safety culture by collaborating with stakeholders rather than dictating to them.

For this highly technical role, you will need a NEBOSH Diploma (or be working towards one) alongside at least three years of experience in a safety role.
