MSA Safety – Height Safety Equipment Technician (Site-Based)

Responsibilities

What you will do:

  • Ensure the highest standards of site safety and customer service are maintained at all times during:
    • Site-based installations
    • Testing of height safety equipment
    • Maintenance in accordance with manufacturer requirements and provided drawings
  • Provide detailed, legible paperwork after installations to assist in producing full client manuals (completed by others).
  • Document inspection findings for:
    • Client certificates (produced by others)
    • Remedial quotations for any failures (provided by others)
    • Note: Document submission can be via hard copy, laptop, or tablet (provided by HCL)
  • Identify additional requirements for fall protection equipment or training at active sites
  • Undertake additional duties as directed by the Team Leader or senior management to support:
    • Efficient business operations
    • Contribution to the company’s profit objectives

Requirements

Essential

  • Valid and clean driving licence
  • Ability to pass DBS/CRB/Scottish Disclosure with no conviction history
  • Comfortable working at height
  • Previous experience in a mobile, site-based role is preferred
  • Competent English and Maths skills (for basic administrative tasks)

Nice-to-Have

  • IPAF training (trainable while employed)
  • PASMA training (trainable while employed)
