Safety Technician, UKIE WHS AMZL

Safety Technician – Amazon Transportation Service (ATS)

Keeping our people safe and well at work is a top priority at Amazon. Our Safety Technicians play an essential role in making this happen. This role offers an opportunity to start your career in workplace safety and develop within a global company. You’ll work closely with our experts to monitor your site, directly impacting people’s well-being every day.


Key Job Responsibilities

  • Carry out risk assessments and audits
  • Monitor the site to ensure processes align with Amazon’s safety procedures
  • Create and update safety metrics reports for colleague review
  • Collaborate with Operations and cross-functional teams on safety tasks
  • Provide expertise and guidance on safety processes
  • Support the implementation of new safety measures

A Day in the Life

  • Based at one of our sites, allowing for close oversight and accessibility.
  • Focus on identifying safety concerns before they arise.
  • Spend time checking site activities and understanding equipment use.
  • Work alongside the Operations team on ad-hoc safety-related projects, strengthening overall safety culture.
  • Collect and share key safety data across teams.

About The Team

As part of Amazon Transportation Service (ATS), you’ll join a diverse team that supports Amazon’s success through air, sea, and road transport, alongside advanced technology-powered sortation centres. This team uses data-driven insights to help Amazon remain innovative and efficient.

Safety is at the core of our culture—our staff are our priority, and their expertise ensures packages reach their destination quickly, conveniently, and sustainably.


Basic Qualifications

  • A Health and Safety NVQ Level 3 or NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Advanced proficiency in the local language (C1 Common European Framework of Reference, CEFR)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience communicating effectively across diverse stakeholders (verbally or in writing)
